HVAC in Santa Fe, TN
Santa Fe is country: farmhouses and family homes spread along SR-7 — Santa Fe Pike — and the lanes off it, over Duck River bottom ground. The heating runs rural too: propane furnaces, heat pumps, all-electric systems, crawl spaces under most houses, and barns and shops that need heat of their own. We run Santa Fe on regular Maury County routes from our Columbia shop at 1230 Industrial Park Rd, Suite 104, Columbia, TN 38401, and the day and window are set on the call.

Santa Fe homes and their systems
| Place | Usual setup | What it asks of us |
|---|---|---|
| Farmhouses on Santa Fe Pike | Propane furnace or dual-fuel, long duct runs, sometimes a second system for an addition | Cold-snap furnace repair with safety checks first, and honest repair-or-replace pricing on 20-year-old units |
| Family homes on the lanes off SR-7 | Heat pumps with electric backup over vented crawl spaces | AUX-heat bill shock in January, sweating ducts in July — heat pump checks and crawl space work |
| River-bottom homes | Any system, over ground that stays damp | Musty vents and sticky air: humidity read first, fix at the source — air quality & dehumidifiers |
| Barns, shops, and garage apartments | No ductwork at all | Mini-splits sized to the building — heat and cooling for the space you work in, without ducting a barn |
Country problems, named plain
- Propane heat and the empty-tank week: a furnace that quits in a cold snap is not always a broken furnace — low propane, a regulator problem, or a safety switch doing its job all look the same from the thermostat. We check the furnace side properly and tell you straight if the call belongs to the propane company instead.
- Long lanes and landmark directions: out here the address is the start, not the directions. "Out Santa Fe Pike, past the river, gravel lane on the left" routes a truck better than any pin — say it that way when you call and we will write it on the ticket that way.
- Critters in the crawl space: rural ductwork gets chewed, nested in, and pulled off collars by animals getting out of the weather. Fallen or torn flex shows up as one cold room and a higher bill. We photograph what we find under the house before anyone prices the fix.
- One trip, whole list: a drive out SR-7 should not be spent on one small thing while three others wait. When you book, tell us the whole list — the weak bedroom vent, the thermostat that loses its settings, the dryer taking two cycles — and the visit covers it in one run. Dryer vent work has its own page: dryer vent cleaning.
Staying ahead of a rural system's year
A Santa Fe system runs the same Columbia weather — muggy from mid-May to late September, sharp cold snaps in January — with two country additions: dust and pollen load on outdoor coils from fields and gravel lanes, and longer stretches where nobody is looking at the equipment at all. Twice-a-year tune-ups are built for exactly that: the coil washed, the drain cleared, the igniter and flame sensor checked before the season tests them for real. And for a true no-heat night or a no-cooling heat wave, the emergency page covers what happens when you call — same triage in Santa Fe as in town.
Santa Fe system giving trouble?
Call and describe the place — farmhouse, river-bottom home, or the shop out back — and what the system is doing. We set the day and window on the call.

Santa Fe FAQs
My Santa Fe home heats with propane. Do you service propane furnaces?
Yes — propane furnaces are standard work on the Santa Fe run, along with heat pumps and all-electric systems. Every gas and propane call starts with safety checks: the heat exchanger, the venting, and carbon monoxide checks, before any repair talk. Tell us it is propane when you call so the truck is stocked for it.
Can a mini-split heat a barn or workshop out here?
Usually, yes — a mini-split is the standard answer for a shop, barn office, or garage apartment with no ductwork, and it heats as well as cools. The sizing turns on the building: insulation, ceiling height, and how tight it is. We size it off the space, not off a guess, and we will say plainly if the building needs insulation work first to make any unit keep up.
Our crawl space stays wet most of the year. Is that an HVAC problem?
Half of it is. The ground and drainage side belongs to the crawl space work; the HVAC side is what the damp does to your ducts and air — sweating flex, rusted fittings, and musty air at every vent. We inspect and photograph the ducts under the house, and the fix order is: dry the space, seal and insulate the ducts, then deal with the air itself.
How are Santa Fe visits scheduled, with the drive out SR-7?
Santa Fe rides the regular Maury County routes from the Columbia shop. When you call (931) 774-2042 we set the day and window on the phone — no invented drive times, just the real plan for that day. Directions by landmark help out here: 'out Santa Fe Pike past the river' gets a truck to the right driveway faster than a pin does.
